Yr 3 Carey Camp
11th May 2017 - 12th May 2017
3rd January 2017
Dear Parents/Carers
Carey Outdoor Education Centre Thursday 11th – Friday 12th May 2017
A residential visit to Carey Outdoor Education Centre (Carey Camp) in Wareham is currently being planned for the Year 3 children.
Carey Camp is a Dorset County Council Centre in Wareham Forest; it has been established for over 65 years and is set in private woodland providing tailor-made learning for each school that visits. The children will cover a range of activities that focus on team building and outdoor learning in Wareham Forest.
The whole year group will visit Carey Camp at the same time. The children will learn in groups supervised by members of Carey staff as well as school staff. The children will stay in large tents, which hold up to 6 children.
We do hope you will take advantage of this opportunity for your child to go to Carey Outdoor Education Centre. It will provide a social experience as well as an educational one. But above all, it will be great fun!
If you have any questions regarding the visit please do not hesitate to ask me. We will be holding a parents meeting nearer the date to provide fuller details of the trip, where you will be able to meet the staff supporting the trip and ask any questions you may have.
If you have not received a letter about the trip please ask at the school office.
Yours faithfully
Ms K Strugnell
Head of Year 3
