SAFEGUARDING

FEDERATION

Safeguarding is the responsibility of all at Wyke Regis Primary Federation.

The dedicated staff of Wyke Regis Federation have regular training in relation to both Special Educational Needs and Safeguarding / Child protection. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Roberts (Head of Federation) or any of the Safeguarding team below who will be happy to help.

If you have a concern, inform the designated safeguarding leads as soon as possible. If you are not happy with their decision, you need to make it clear to the team again. If you are still not happy then it is your responsibility to contact Social Care by ringing the following numbers.

As a member of the public, you can ask for advice or refer a concern to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) yourself:  Tel 01202 228866.

Prevent is about safeguarding people and communities from the threat of terrorism.

You may have heard about the Government’s ‘Prevent’ strategy which covers all types of terrorism and extremism, including the extreme right wing, violent Islamist groups and other causes.

From July 2015 all schools (as well as other organisations) have a duty to safeguard children from radicalisation and extremism. This page is designed to provide parents with information about the strategy and what we are doing as a school to respond to this strategy.
