LUNCHTIME ARRANGEMENTS

FEDERATION

Morning Break

Infant and Nursery children have a piece of fruit or vegetable made available to them during the morning every day. Junior children may bring an item of fruit, vegetables or a healthy snack bar to school to eat as their play time snack. The Federation has a ‘no sweets’ policy. We ask all parents/carers to do all they can to support this policy.

Due to a number of children and staff having severe nut allergies, the Federation also has a “no-nuts” policy and we ask that for the safety of these children that you do not provide snack or lunch items containing nuts.

Drinks should be in plastic bottles or cartons, please do not provide glass bottles,  or canned or fizzy drinks.

Lunchtime Arrangements

Our Hot School Meals are provided by Weyco Services Ltd, the catering division of Weymouth College.  Meals are ordered online through SchoolMoney – our online payment system. Ordering must take place a week in advance of the week meals are required.

If you would like to purchase a lunch,  but do not require a hot meal,  Weyco Services also offer a choice of four packed lunches options.  Please see menu below for further information.

Children not ordering a meal or packed lunch, will be required to bring their own packed lunch each day in a suitable container clearly marked with their name and current class.   With your written permission, your Junior child may also go home for lunch.

Free School Meals

All children in the infant school are entitled to free school meals (Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM).

Once your child moves to the Junior school (Year 3), the meals must be paid for. However, you may be eligible for Income Related Free School Meals.

If you believe that you are, or may be entitled to receive Income Related free school meals, you can check your eligibility by clicking on the link below.

Once the school is made aware of your eligibility then please just order the meals as normal on the SchoolMoney website. It will automatically be calculated as free.

What is the deadline for ordering meals?

The deadline for ordering meals is the Monday of the week prior to the week in which the meal is required.

This deadline is required to ensure collation and reporting of orders to Weyco Services and their suppliers to enable them to ensure delivery to all contracted school.

Can you cater for special dietary requirements and allergies?

A copy of the allergens list for the current term is included on this page for ease of reference.

The Key for the lists is C = Contains,   M = May contain.

If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements for medical reasons please contact the school office in the first instance. Religious diets will be catered for by the vegetarian meal.

How do I order meals?

Meals are ordered online through SchoolMoney and, if required, payment is made at the time of ordering.

The choice of meal is made at point of ordering. You can choose either a Main (Standard) meal, a Vegetarian Meal or a Baked Potato (with a choice on the day of 2 fillings) each day.  If you would prefer a packed lunch Weyco also have a choice of 4 each day.
