Welcome back to the start of another busy school year. It is a pleasure to have joined the Federation and I am enjoying the challenge of trying to learn all the staff names at the moment! It will take a little while yet. The children have had a good start to the term in general, and we are especially pleased with the new reception class pupils who have started their school life with a very independent attitude…so much so that many are leaving mums and dads at the door quite happily and settling straight into their learning.

Well done children. All children in Key Stage 2 (Juniors) enjoyed a Roald Dahl day recently and there were some great costumes and characters out on the playground—including the teaching staff! Thank you for your support with fancy dress. Weekly achievement certificates are already being awarded at both school sites and all children can be nominated by their teacher for good learning or attitude or really trying their best at something they find hard. Please see dates for your diary on the back of this letter – I will be attending parents evenings at both sites next month and look forward to meeting more of you there.
