Bamboo Tamboo!

4J enjoyed an exciting Bamboo Tamboo workshop with Mr Whitmarsh from Dorset Music Service.

Bamboo Tamboo is a form of music from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago where a bamboo tube is hit against the ground and played with a beater.

The sounds you can make with a long tube and a stick are quite amazing!

4J learned different rhythms, layering them up to make a brilliant ensemble piece and improved their teamwork, listening skills, rhythmic skills and co-ordination at the same time!
